2014-2015 Restaurant Violations in 33606, Tampa, FL

The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation conducts inspections each year for restaurants to ensure that they are up to state standards.  Inspectors look for violations breaking sanitization, health, and safety codes.  



For the 2014-2015 year, 249 restaurants in the 33606 area code were inspected.  A total of 2,033 violations were reported.  Only 26 of the 249 restaurants were violation-free, leaving 223 restaurants with at least one or more violations.  

Types of Violations


Inspections were rated into six separate categories, inspection completed, warning issued, call back - complied, call back - extension given, call back - admin. complaint recommended, and administrative complaint recommended.

The relationship between increase or decrease of violations and time of year did not seem to be prevalent.

According to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, The University of Tampa's Sodexo did not have any violations at any of their restaurant locations across campus when inspected on December 5, 2014.  



Top 6 Worst Restaurants: Most Violations


You may want to rethink getting a late night snack from Jersey Mike's Subs, as they ranked first out of 249 for most violations with 40 total.  All six restaurants had at least one high priority violation.
